Fashion Geek Alert: Netrobe brings Digital Closet from Clueless to Life
Remember the scene in the movie Clueless when Alicia Silverstone's character picks out her outfit through a computer program, casually scrolling through each of her sartorial items? Well, apparently that movie-making fantasy has come to life by an i-phone application called Netrobe, which allows its users to create personal online closets.
Created by Christina Plakopita, the main objectives of Netrobe is to organize your wardrobe in one place, remind you of what you own, and help you both dress and shop smarter. You simply take photos of your clothes or items and then save the collection on virtual Polaroids, which can then be organized into categories. Once you've created the online wardrobe, you can view the items in a grid or list mode. For those of you struggling with overstuffed closets like me and have yet to afford the grand walk-in you hope to have one day- and actually see the clothes you own- download Netrobe and stop the Feng Shui attacks that prompt you to rush to the Container Store.
